This waiting list is for Senior Section 8 Project-Based Voucher rental housing assistance in Rockland County, New York.
The Rockland County Department of Social Services (RCDSS) will accept Senior Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Youngblood Senior Housing, Walnut Hills Senior Housing, Depew Manor Senior Housing, Spring Valley Preservation and Spring Valley Site lll from May 13, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 24, 2024 at 5:00 pm ET.
This waiting list is for the following properties:
Please note: According to the DSS, "To be eligible for a voucher or for these Waiting Lists, a person must be 62 years of age or older. For Spring Valley Preservation, There is no age requirement as some units are for 62+ and some units are 1-5 Bedrooms."
Preferences have not yet been confirmed.
100 selected applicants will be placed on the Youngblood Senior Housing Building waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
200 selected applicants will be placed on the Walnut Hills Senior Housing waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
100 selected applicants will be placed on the Depew Manor Senior Housing waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
100 selected applicants will be placed on the Spring Valley Preservation waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
100 selected applicants will be placed on the Spring Valley Site III waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

The Rockland County Department of Social Services (RCDSS) will accept Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 13, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 24, 2024 at 5:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in July, 2021.
