The Housing Authority of Columbia (HAC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The HAC offers one Public Housing community with 82 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the HAC to pick up a pre-application, located at 922 Carrie Bolin Dr, Columbia, KY 42728, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday.Once the pre-application has been completed, you must call the HAC at (270) 384-2271 to schedule an appointment to return the pre-application.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social SecurityCards and birth certificates for all household members, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members. All adult household members must be present at the appointment.The HAC does have a preference point system, they will go over the preferences at the appointment.For more information, call the HAC office at (270) 384-2271, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday.
